About ERMINIG
Erminig : history
2018 saw the first edition of the Gravel Tro Breizh. An event that still advocates today a new vision of cycling that’s fun, passionate and offbeat.
Since the first edition, the pleasure of organizing the GTB and experiencing it with the participants has become a real driving force!
Since 2021, the association has launched a series of events to offer adventures for everyone, whatever your desires and abilities.
All these events are united under a single name: Erminig Bikepacking Adventures.
Erminig : future
ERMINIG’s aim is to offer events that reflect current trends in off-road ultra-distance and bikepacking.
Events for everyone, from beginners to the most seasoned riders :
- GTB series, day or weekend events to discover long-distance and bikepacking.
- The Gravel Tro Breizh or the Sea To Peak, multi-day events for a real adventure in France.
- Free brevets accessible at any time of the year for a bikepacking adventure in total freedom: like the Brevet de la Chocolatine.
Erminig : our values
At erminig, we’ll be talking about : Bikepacking, ultra-distance, unsupported events, not a race and non-stop progress. The main values of our events.
- Bikepacking : in the quest for autonomy and lightness, minimalist equipment allows any bike to be fitted with bags (handlebar, saddle or frame bags, etc.), attached by straps or screws directly to the frame, fork or peripherals of the bike: no need for a luggage rack (any bike without a luggage rack attachment can therefore be used).
- Ultra distance : It’s hard to define what constitutes ultra distance. At erminig, we arbitrarily define this limit as being over 600 km covered in one go.
- Unsupported : On our events, participants are autonomous. Neither the organization nor their family, friends or acquaintances can provide assistance. Participants must be totally self-sufficient in terms of refreshments, accommodation and in the event of mechanical problems.
- Not a race : There are no rankings on our events. They are not races, but there is a time limit for completing the course (depending on the distance or event). Checkpoints are set up by the organization so that participants can validate their logbooks. Most of our events follow a GPS track.
- Non-stop progress : On our events, progress is non-stop. Participants are free to manage their breaks as they see fit.
