THE CHOCOLATINE BRIGADE A self-supported, gourmet adventure with zero borders!

Since the dawn of time, France has been divided into two zones… To the North and East, bakeries sell “pains au chocolat” (or other barbaric names). To the Southwest, a free and independent zone resists, a land where the Chocolatine reigns supreme as the absolute queen of the bakery shelves!

The Brigade de la Chocolatine is a self-supported challenge you can take on whenever you feel like it, solo or with your riding buddies.

🎛️ Choose Your Format

To join the Brigade, build the adventure that suits you best by combining your terrain and your distance:

  • 🚴‍♂️ 2 Terrain Categories:
    • 🛣️ Road
    • 🌲 Off-Road (Gravel or MTB)
  • 📏 4 Distance Options:
    • 🏅 200 km and up
    • 🥈 400 km and up
    • 🥇 600 km and up
    • 🏆 800 km and up

🗺️ 100% Free Routing: You are the absolute master of your itinerary! Simply plan your “Chocolatine Ride” to match your profile as a cyclist.

📝 How to Validate Your Adventure?

Your roadbook (brevet card) will feature only two essential slots, to be stamped the old-school way:

  • The Starting Gun (The Pain au Chocolat): Get your 1st slot stamped by the baker who sells you your starting pastry in the “Pain au chocolat” zone.
  • The Sacred Finish (The Chocolatine): Get your 2nd slot stamped by the artisan who has the absolute pleasure of serving you a “Chocolatine” at the finish line.

📸 Share Your Epic Journey on Komoot

Once you’re back, make the community drool! To make your entry into the Brigade official:

  • Publish your journey on Komoot as a public activity.
  • Don’t forget to add Erminig as a participant to your ride so we can spot it.
  • Add a brief recap of your struggles and triumphs in the comments, and most importantly, photos to make your ride look as beautiful and mouth-watering as a fresh-out-of-the-oven chocolatine!
  • Share your hidden gems: Pin the must-see points of interest along your route (a secret scenic road, a crazy viewpoint, an unusual monument, an incredible bakery…). It’s the best way to inspire others to follow in your tire tracks!

❓ Express FAQ

What if I already live in the Chocolatine zone? No problem at all! Travel to the “Pain au chocolat” zone by any means you like (train, car, or even by bike to warm up). It is strictly the location of your starting bakery that officially validates the launch of your challenge.

🏁 And Once the Challenge is Done?

As soon as you’ve devoured your finish-line chocolatine, all that’s left is to finalize your validation to enter the legend:

  1. Send us a clear photo of your roadbook showing both stamps (starting “Pain au chocolat” bakery / finish “Chocolatine” bakery).
  2. Share your Komoot link, making sure to tag Erminig in the activity. Add your best photos and create your must-see points of interest to inspire future riders!

🏆 The Holy Grail: After verification, your first name, last name, category, distance, and time will be immortalized right here on this website in the prestigious “Wall of Chocolatine”. You will then be officially knighted as a member of the Brigade!
